Advice?

So here are my ideas so far, any feedback would be nice.  The latest 4 entries are my ideas as of now.
Let me know what you think. (still thinking for the other edge one...)

I like the 3rd direction for Spring. The title is a bit overwhelming right now, and the body type is not fitted as well as it could be, but the overall impression of the photo is really strong.

Overall, look at creating a clear definition in your features between title and description. For example, on the Edge cover, create some hiearchy between "Folk Art" and the description below it. Look at some other magazines for examples of how to handle this.

Good work so far.

Spring:
I like the third one, too. The 1st one looks too crowded and the 2nd little too busy with your masthead. The deserted beach works much better with the springiness of your masthead

Edge:
You've really captured the essence of the mag with this pic and your feature titles. Ryan brings up some good points having to do with hierarchy of text and creating more visual balance with both of these covers.. play around with both of them a little more and you'll find that along with more compositional balance, the covers will have more visual tension that attract more attention.

Figure out what your eyes lock on when you first look at the covers and then think about how you want the eyes to move around the composition.

nice job!
